The split between North England and South England is rather arbitrary, and may be altogether wrong in places; geography has never been one of my strong points.

North England

| Altrincham Video Society |
Founded in 1967, the Society has had great success with awards from around the world for its productions. The Society has approximately 65 members ranging from 14 to 90 years old. They meet every Wednesday evening for the regular programme, and the 1st and 3rd Monday evening of each month for the technical programme. All meetings start at 8 pm. |
| Bradford Camcorder Users Group |
They are one of the oldest amateur film making clubs in this country. A small group working with black and white 16mm film stock founded the Bradford Cine Circle in 1932. Today they have an enthusiastic group working on all formats, editing on many different systems and producing better and better films. They have had their own private cinema since 1936 which can seat sixty and has excellent facilities. They are able to project film and own a Video Projector. |

| Calderdale Camcorder Club | A club in Halifax, with that town's only permanent 50 seated cinema. They have a film studio for making of films or editing of videotapes, a lounge for meetings and discussions and a kitchen for refreshments. |
| Crewe Cine & Video Club | We are a friendly club and our main aim is to bring together people who have a common interest in Cine & Video film making as a hobby. |
| Harrogate Camcorder Group | A club in Yorkshire, which meets from September to May and has wide and varied programme of events. They are keen to encourage new members. You don't need to have a camcorder to join. |
| Leeds Movie Makers | |
| Mid-Cheshire Camcorder Club | A small but active club in Northwich, with a programme that includes technical items, discussions, competitions, projects and social activities. They are always happy to welcome new members. |
| Morecambe Bay Movie Makers | A group of independent Lancashire film-makers with interests and experience in a wide range of film-making techniques, from cine-photography and animation to digital editing and image manipulation. |
| Sheffield Movie Makers |
A club of about 20 members, which meets weekly in Sheffield from September to April. They run club competitions and challenge matches with other local clubs. In 1999 they celebrated their 50th anniversary, having started as City Films in 1949. The web site has the latest newsletter, details of the programme for next season, and information about the club. Any suggestions or queries will be welcome. |
| Tynemouth Cine and Video Group | They are part of Tynemouth Photographic Society on Tyneside and meet every Monday from the beginning of October until the end of April at 7.30pm. |
South England

| Bristol Film and Video Society |
The society was formed as "Bristol Amateur Cinematographers" in 1934, to provide a meeting place for people interested in recording moving images. The name has changed several times since then; perhaps they were best known as Bristol Cine Society. In the late 1980's they changed their name to the Bristol Film and Video Society, to reflect changing technology. The Society meets at 7.30pm on the first and third Tuesdays of every month throughout the year at the Filton Town Council Pavilion, Elm Park, Filton, Bristol. The programme features a mix of activities: training sessions, guest speakers, practical nights and social evenings. Beginners are especially welcome. |
| Chichester Film and Video Makers Club | A club dedicated to the spread of the art and technology of video making. Members are amateur and non-professional video makers from all walks of life. They have fortnightly meetings and make videos for local community organisations. |

| Haywards Heath Cine and Video Society | They are based in Haywards Heath in Sussex and have been in existence since 1949. There are still a couple of cine film makers in the club but the vast majority are now video makers. They meet fortnightly and on a typical evening get about 25 members attending. |
| Lichfield Movie Makers | Lichfield Movie Makers was formed in 1968. They meet fortnightly on Fridays at Martin Heath Hall, Christchurch Lane, Lichfield. Visitors are welcome. | Milton Keynes Camcorder Club | A young enthusiastic club founded in 1995, serving Milton Keynes and the surrounding counties. |

| Potters Bar Cine and Video Society | Potters Bar is a long-established, nationally-known Cine and Video Society. They make amateur films and videos, offer help and tuition on all aspects of videography, share evenings with other clubs, hold internal competitions and participate in regional and national IAC events. Club and members' productions regularly win prestigious national and international awards. |
| Reading Film and Video Makers | Reading Film and Video Makers is a well established club with more than 40 members who meet at 8 pm every Tuesday at St Andrews Hall, Albert Road, Caversham Heights, Reading. Visitors are always welcome and up to date details can always be found on the web site. |
| Sandwell Society of Film Makers | The society is based in Cradley Heath, West Midlands. They meet each Friday from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at Cradley Heath Community Centre. |
| Spring Park Film Makers | (Formerly Spring Park Cine and Video Society) A club of about 60 members based in Bromley, South East London, who have been in existence since 1967. They meet every Thursday and have a varied programme. Their main aim is to help members make better individual videos, but they also encourage group film making. |
| St Albans Movie Makers | If you live in North Hertfordshire and have an enthusiasm for movie making - whether holiday videos, documentaries or original stories - St Albans Movie Makers could be for you. |
| Stoke Cine and Video Society | The Society was founded in 1935 and has won many awards Regionally, Nationally, and Internationally. However, members do not have to be expert movie makers and they encourage beginners to join the club, where they will find help and guidance readily available. |
| Surrey Border Film & Video Makers | A club of about 70 members, who meet on the first Friday of every month in Farnham, Surrey. They are very active in video-making and make many group videos. |
| Walthamstow Amateur CineVideo Club | Walthamstow is in East London, and WACC are "the home of quality amateur movies," according to their front page. |
| Wanstead & Woodford Cine & Video Club | A club of about 45 members in Woodford Bridge, Essex. They produce home videos of all sorts for the enjoyment of their members, and also to enter various competitions that are held on a local and national level. |
| Worcester Camcorder Club | The Club was formed in the early 1960's. What makes their evenings so enjoyable is the wide range of video and computer interests which members bring to the club. They currently have 45 members and an average evening attendance of over 30 at each meeting, so you can see they are all very enthusiastic about their interests. |

| Dunfermline Camcorder Club | The club is open to anyone who is interested in any aspect of camcorders and their use. Their aim is to give club members mutual support, sharing knowledge and to really get to know your camcorder. They like to try out new techniques, from shooting the movie to the final cut. |
| Edinburgh Cine and Video Society | Founded in 1936, they are the oldest amateur cine and video club in Scotland, and one of the oldest in the UK. |
| GtBFilms | Established in 1990, GtBFilms have produced a wide range of productions, from the earliest "Christmas 1990," to modern-day award-winning classics such as "The Wish." |
