This page shows you what we're planning for the next few
months. Events are on Monday evenings unless noted
otherwise.
Except where noted otherwise, there is a limit of 15 minutes on all competition entries.

Film of the Year 2002
We choose the best film made by our members in 2002.
This competition was open to any film that was placed
first or second in any club competition in 2002.
Paul Welsh MBE, the Entertainments Officer for
Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council, very kindly
agreed to judge the competition for us. The winners were:
1st: The History of the Allum Lane Community Centre by
Peter Norman.
2nd: Boats Trains and Helicopters by Roy Osgood.
3rd: Canada through a Windscreen by Mick Murphy.

Borehamwood versus Harrow Cine and Video Society, at Borehamwood.
Once again, Harrow won, by a small margin.

Edit in Camera Competition Make a video, about any subject,
that lasts no more than five minutes and is edited "in camera."
This means that once you have shot your camera tape, you must not edit
or post-process the picture or sound in any way.
Obviously, you will need to plan your video carefully if you are to
produce something watchable.

Documentary Competition for the Dennis Edwards Shield
Make a documentary, about any subject, that lasts no more than 15 minutes.
A documentary is "based
on real events, places, or circumstances and usually
intended primarily to record or inform." (New Shorter
Oxford English Dictionary).
You may make a video about a place where you went for a holiday
(see also the Holiday Competition, below).
