DVD recorders If you want to make your own DVDs, standalone DVD recorders are becoming a credible alternative to a computer with a DVD writer. We discuss the pros and cons of these new gadgets. |

Bring and Buy Sale Bring your unwanted video equipment and plenty of money. Negotiate with other members for what you want to buy. Unlike previous events of this kind, the club will not be taking a commission. |

Competitions There are two competitions tonight. The first is a sixty-second competition - make a video about any subject that lasts no more than a minute. The second is a themed competition, whose theme is advertising. The McLaren Vale, by Roy Osgood, won the advertising competition, and The Steam-Powered Clock, by Peter and Barbara Norman, won the sixty-second competition. |

Festival Open Evening As part of the town's Civic Festival, we will be holding a Camcorder Technique Workshop, where you can learn how to make the best use of your camcorder. The public are invited, and admission is free. |

video.
